NOTIFICATION
NO.FD(SO SR-1)/1-2/2025 (DRA). In pursuance of the decision of the Provincial Cabinet in its
special meeting held on 13-06-2025, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been pleased to sanction Disparity Reduction Allowance-2025 @ 15% of the Initial Basic Pay 2022 to the officers/officials, who are already drawing Disparity Reduction Allowance, from BPS-01 to BPS-21 w.e.f. 01-07-2025.
- Disparity Reduction Allowance is admissible subject to the following conditions:
i. This Allowance will not be admissible to the employees of the departments/organizations who are drawing additional allowance/allowances equal
to or more than 100% of the basic pay (whether frozen or otherwise). ii. This allowance will not be admissible to the officers drawing both the IT
Professional allowance and Secretariat Performance Allowance.
This Allowance will be subject to Income Tax.
iv. This Allowance will be admissible during leave and entire period of L.P.R except extra-ordinary leave.
This Allowance will not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculations of pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
vi. This Allowance will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/deputation abroad.
vii. This Allowance will be admissible to the employees on their repatriation from posting/deputation abroad at the rate and amount which would have been admissible to them, had they not been posted abroad.

This Allowance will be admissible during the period of suspension.
ix. The term “Basic Pay” will also include the amount of Personal Pay granted on account of annual increments (s) beyond the maximum of the existing pay scales.
- All Autonomous/Semi-Autonomous Organizations/Medical Teaching Institutions/Other Institutions and Authorities under Provincial Government shall adopt this notification within their respective organization/institutions with the approval of concerned Competent Forum subject to availability of their resources.
